Si confronti questa immagine con AS 11-37-5437.
Sulla Dx dell'Osservatore, circa a metà fra propulsore e lato Dx del frame, si può vedere una debole luce che, anche in questo caso, potrebbe essere quella di una stella (o, se preferite, di uno Star-like Object).

E allora?
Come la mettiamo con gli "Espertissimi" che giurano e spergiurano sulle loro Bibbie (Manuali Tecnici di Fotografia Spaziale) che le stelle, nelle foto Apollo, non si vedono, non si sono mai viste e non si vedranno mai?!?

"...It's very important to have human beings in space because they bring a wonderful computer called "the brain". They bring a wonderful optical system called "the eyes", and they bring "hands" that can manipulate things as precisely or more precisely than many robots in that environment. There are some things that robots will be able to do much better than humans, particularly when there's just routine information to be gathered. But we would be very remiss if we didn't use the best of robots and the best of human beings in space..."

Cerchiatura Verde: un'inspiegabile (ma visibile, anche senza far ricorso a speciali tecniche di elaborazione delle immagini) "ombratura" scura, come se si fosse sollevata della polvere. Qualcuno pensa che si tratti di un photo-artifact (ipotesi molto plausibile e probabile); altri pensano che si tratti della polvere sollevatasi a seguito dell'impatto del martello con il suolo;

Cerchiatura Blu: non è un photo-artifact mentre sembra tanto, dopo aver effettuato una notevole elaborazione (ingrandimento incluso) del frame, che si tratti di uno "sbuffo" di polvere. Ma che il martello scagliato da Schmitt sia arrivato sin quasi alla sommità della collina ripresa in questo frame ci sembra, nonostante la bassissima gravità, un evento davvero poco probabile. Anche se, in fondo, non si può mai dire...2 commenti

The image was taken on 20 Feb. 1965 at 09:34 UT with the spacecraft at an altitude of 2510 Km. The central reticle is at 10.65° South Latitude, 22.4° West Longitude, in the Mare Cognitum area of the Moon. North is up and the picture extends 1200 Km across, from about 5° N to 30° S Latitude and from 5° W to 45° W Longitude. The craters Campanus and Mercator are visible at the bottom center. Gassandi crater (101 Km diameter) is the bright circle near the edge of the frame at 8:00. The Apollo 12 landing site is near top center and Apollo 14 slightly to the right of that (Ranger 8, A001)".

These image were taken by the number 1 and 3 P-channel cameras at 0.39 and 0.19 seconds before impact from an altitude of 1070 and 519 meters, respectively. The pictures are cut off because the spacecraft impacted the surface before completing the transmission. The top image was taken by the P3 camera and the bottom image by P1. The P3 image is about 25 m across. North is at 12:30 for both images. The impact occurred on 31 July 1964 at 13:25:48.82 UT (Ranger 7, CP1002)".

APOLLO 17 AS 17-142-21811.jpgAS 17-142-21811 - Astronaut118 visiteAi margini di un cratere (o di quella che appare, comunque, una leggera depressione nel terreno), un Astronauta se ne va in giro "saltellando", probabilmente in cerca di qualcosa di interessante da prendere e portare " a casa". La zona delle operazioni sembra essere piuttosto pericolosa, anche a causa delle tantissime rocce che ostacolano il cammino, ma gli Astronauti non ci fanno caso, a quanto vediamo...
