Ma questa, oggi, è ovviamente solo Fantasia.

P-BalleSpaziali-CUN-04.jpgIs this a U.F.O.?!? (2)457 visiteIl frame in oggetto appartiene al Magazine (rullino) n. 50 ed è, per l'esattezza, il frame caratterizzato dal seriale AS 12-50-7341.
Ebbene, questo frame, che cosa rappresenta?
Un U.F.O., ovviamente - diranno in tanti (anzi: dicono in tanti, dato che questo frame è presente su svariati Siti Ufologici, Italiani e non)!
E invece no, cari Amici: quello che si vede in questo ed in tanti altri frames (che Vi proporremo) NON è affatto un OVNI (ossìa un “Oggetto Volante Non Identificato”).
Si tratta solo del Terzo Stadio (Third Stage) del Razzo Vettore “Saturn-V” che sta andando a perdersi nello spazio.
Questo Terzo Stadio - che viene usato una prima volta per acquisire la spinta sufficiente ad entrare in orbita attorno alla Terra e poi, una seconda volta, per dotare l'astronave dell'inerzia necessaria per raggiungere la Luna (Trans-Lunar-Injection) - è, di fatto, posto alla base dell’alloggiamento del Modulo Lunare (quello che noi chiamiamo "LM's Nest": il "Nido del LM).
Tecnicamente il Terzo Stadio si chiama "S-IV-B" ed esso, dopo che il LM è stato agganciato dal CSM ed "estratto" dal suo “nido”, viene abbandonato nello spazio (anche se, conservando una certa inerzia, prosegue per un lungo tratto la sua “corsa verso la Luna” – come lo stesso Buzz Aldrin, in una recente intervista, ci ha raccontato).
In conclusione, questa che - secondo alcuni - è l'“Immagine Storica di un UFO”, a nostro parere non è altro che la fotografia che gli Astronauti scattarono (durante la Trans-Lunar-Coast, terminate le operazioni di aggancio ed estrazione del LM dal suo “nido” e quindi di abbandono del predetto Terzo Stadio al suo destino), al Terzo Stadio stesso, prima di perderlo (per sempre) di vista.
E questo frame è il risultato “visivo” di un tale "addio".

Scientists think the spirals develop as solar heating melts and evaporates the ice more strongly on the Equator-ward and West-facing sides of any slight depression. In time, these deepen into valleys and canyons.
The largest trough in the Northern Polar Cap is a huge canyon named Chasma Boreale. It runs into the ice cap for 570 Km (about 350 miles), making a broad valley that ends at a point called Tenuis Cavus, shown in this THEMIS image taken at visible wavelengths.
