NGC-2024.jpgNGC 2024 - The "Flame Nebula"83 visite"...Noi (intendo intellettuali, non i politici di professione) applichiamo codici interpretativi che sono stati elaborati nel corso dei secoli: l’idea di giustizia, ad esempio, che oggi è generalmente diffusa (non applicata: diffusa) è quella che nasce con la Rivoluzione Francese, passa attraverso le grandi esperienze ed i laboratori ideali dell’Ottocento, si confronta con antitesi atroci quali furono le dittature rosse e nere del Novecento, si arricchisce dei concetti nati dal dopoguerra.
Ma non occorre rivolgersi a casi così solenni e maestosi; pensiamo solo a concetti quotidiani e a misura di individuo: il pudore, la disponibilità all’ascolto, il rispetto verso le forme di vita e di coscienza.
Tutto è diverso, anzi tutto è disgregato: i codici sono frantumati e per questo noi non sappiamo comprendere, né interpretare, né prevedere.
Come si può trovare un senso, un qualsiasi senso, al fatto che il litigio tra una moglie ed un marito diventa argomento delle prime pagine di tutti i quotidiani nazionali e tema di dibattito per ore di trasmissioni televisive?
Quale codice applicheremo per tentare di spiegare perché vengano invitati illustri personaggi a commentare il battibecco fra una moglie irritata ed un marito che ha fatto ai suoi danni la tipica grossolana gaffe del galletto italiano?
Assistiamo sgomenti a queste devastazioni culturali, a questi tsunami intellettuali che provocano danni su un corpo già malato. E non basta più denunciare questa situazione comatosa; ormai ci si deve rassegnare al fatto che anche la denuncia non è che un atto della triste commedia.
Oggi non stiamo vivendo il “rovesciamento di tutti i valori” invocato da Nietzsche; qui stiamo vivendo l’entropia dell’attività cerebrale, il disfacimento della civiltà che si atomizza in un pulviscolo di assurdità..."

NGC-2359.jpgThe "Thor's Helmet" (alias NGC 2359)60 visite"...Lo Spazio, volenti o nolenti, è un concetto il quale è fisicamente e logicamente (e dunque indissolubilmente) legato alla nozione di Tempo.
Ne consegue che, una volta escluso il Tempo (nella sua qualità "filosofica" - e, perchè no?, anche "fisica" - di entità immateriale ed incorporea), anche lo Spazio ed il Movimento perdono di senso e significato.
E l'Eternità...Anche l'Eternità, che è un'estensione logica (direi "spaziale") della nozione di Tempo, è legata - pure indissolubilmente - ad Esso.
E tuttavia, una volta esclusi Spazio e Tempo dall'"in sè" dell'Universo, allora dobbiamo escludere anche l'Eternità.
L'Eternità, intesa come Continuum, ossìa un intreccio senza inizio e senza fine di Spazio e Tempo i quali, nel loro avvilupparsi, determinano anche il "movimento" del tutto.
Ma non esiste alcun Tempo, purtroppo, e quindi non esiste Eternità, Spazio, Movimento e, alla fine, alcun Continuum.
Se tutto questo fosse vero allora sarebbe inevitabile concludere che l'Universo stesso, in sè, poichè privato delle sue Componenti Essenziali - le quali, logicamente e fisicamente, non esistono - non solo non esiste, ma non può neppure teoricamente esistere...
L'Universo, ora ridotto ad un'immagine distorta - così come distorte sono le linee che appaiono in uno specchio deformato, non c'è.
Noi non ci siamo.

OPP-SOL956-PIA09170-1.gifClouds over Meridiani - Sol 956 (GIF-Movie)58 visiteNASA's MER Opportunity captured a view of wispy afternoon clouds, not unlike fair weather clouds on Earth, passing overhead on the Rover's 956th Sol (such as Oct. 2, 2006). With Opportunity facing North-East, the clouds appear to drift gently toward the West in this movie taken with the Rover's NavCam.
The 10 frames, taken 32" apart, show the formation and evolution of what are likely mid-level, convective water clouds. Such clouds are common near Mars' Equator at this time of the Martian year. They have been observed by both of NASA's MER, by satellites orbiting Mars and by the HST. In this case, the clouds appear to develop at a fixed location, in the center of the frame about 25° above the horizon. This style of origin suggests that a thermal plume is rising over a surface feature. In spite of apparent winds aloft, the thermal plume appears to remain stationary for the whole duration of the movie.
Though scientists have determined from the images that the wind bearing is East/North-East, approximately 80°, it is not possible on the basis of the movie to unambiguously determine the height and speed of the clouds. Scientists estimate, based on models of atmospheric wind profiles and the apparent displacement of the clouds, that all of the clouds in the movie are at about the same height somewhere between 5 and 25 Km (about 3 to 20 miles) above the surface. The clouds are estimated to be moving at 2,5 mt per second, if they are low, to 12,5 mt per second, if they are high (8 to 41 feet per second).

The spectacular tail spreads across the sky and is visible to Southern Hemisphere observers just after sunset. The head of the comet remains quite bright and easily visible to even city observers without any optical aide. The amazing tail is visible on long exposures and even to the unaided eye from a dark location. Reports even have the tail visible just above the horizon after sunset for many Northern observers as well. M-016-PIA09107.jpgM 16 - The "Eagle Nebula"60 visiteThis majestic view taken by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope tells an untold story of life and death in the Eagle Nebula, an industrious star-making factory located 7000 L.Y. away in the Serpens constellation. The image shows the region's entire network of turbulent clouds and newborn stars in infrared light.
The color green denotes cooler towers and fields of dust, including the three famous space pillars, dubbed the "Pillars of Creation," which were photographed by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope in 1995 (see inset).
But it is the color red that speaks of the drama taking place in this region. Red represents hotter dust thought to have been warmed by the explosion of a massive star about 8,000 to 9,000 years ago. Since light from the Eagle nebula takes 7000 years to reach us, this "supernova" explosion would have appeared as an oddly bright star in our skies about 1000 to 2000 years ago.
According to astronomers' estimations, the explosion's blast wave would have spread outward and toppled the three pillars about 6,000 years ago (which means we wouldn't witness the destruction for another 1,000 years or so). The blast wave would have crumbled the mighty towers, exposing newborn stars that were buried inside, and triggering the birth of new ones.
The pillars of the Eagle nebula were originally sculpted by radiation and wind from about 20 or so massive stars hidden from view in the upper left portion of the image. The radiation and wind blew dust away, carving out a hollow cavity (center) and leaving only the densest nuggets of dust and gas (tops of pillars) flanked by columns of lighter dust that lie in shadow (base of pillars). This sculpting process led to the creation of a second generation of stars inside the pillars.
If a star did blow up in this region, it is probably located among the other massive stars in the upper left portion of the image. Its blast wave might have already caused a third generation of stars to spring from the wreckage of the busted pillars.
This image is a composite of infrared light detected by Spitzer's infrared array camera and multiband imaging photometer. Blue is 4.5-micron light; green is 8-micron light; and red is 24-micron light.

Psp_001401_1850_red-0.jpgPseudo-Pyramids and Rocky Bridges in Arabia Terra76 visiteAncora una volta la Regione di Arabia Terra ci mostra dei rilievi straordinari e davvero difficili da commentare.
Per quanto attiene le Pseudo-Piramidi ("buttes" o "colline a ceppo", geologicamente parlando), dobbiamo dire che la maggiore - quella più in basso - mostra una pianta quadrata semi-regolare che fa "impallidire" la tanto pubblicizzata D&M Pyramid di Cydonia mentre la minore - poco più in alto - mostra una pianta triangolare davvero molto ben delineata per non far nascere nella mente degli Osservatori qualche idea di "artificialità".
Lunar Explorer Italia ritiene che le Pseudo-Piramisi di Arabia Terra sìano bizzarre, ma assolutamente naturali; ci è sembrato comunque giusto evidenziarle poichè altri rilievi, situati in altre Regioni di Marte, i quali erano/sono MOLTO meno regolari ed intriganti di questi, sono stati segnalati come possibili "monumenti". Insomma: la geologia di Marte è così curiosa che, VOLENDO, i manufatti si possono davvero vedere ovunque.
Per quanto attiene i "Ponti", invece, riteniamo che dovrebbero essere compiute (da parte di chi ha i mezzi adeguati per poterlo fare) delle analisi molto accurate poichè questi rilievi, anch'essi - comunque - a nostro parere "naturali", potrebbero costituire delle sconcertanti evidenze oggettive di forme vitali indigene aventi una natura bio-magnetica (come sostiene il Dr Feltri). Che non si tratti di semplici dune (checchè ne dica la NASA) lo potete semplicemente constatare operando anche un minimo stretch del frame e quindi verificando la loro tendenza a "sovrapporsi", a "sollevarsi dal suolo" (alcuni "ponti", infatti, mostrano delle ombre al di sotto delle loro "campate"...) ed a posizionarsi, comunque, in maniera tale da consentirci di escludere nella maniera più categorica una loro eventuale origine eolica.
Per onor di cronaca, simili rilievi erano già stati individuati (in altre Regioni) in passato dal Dr J. Skipper il quale, tuttavia, propendeva per una loro natura "artificiale".

Psp_001401_1850_red-3.jpgThe "Bridges" of Arabia Terra (2) extra-detail mgnf59 visiteC'è poco da commentare in questo dettaglio: osservate Voi stessi la conformazione, la configurazione e la posizione di questi indecifrabili rilievi e poi provate a maturare una opinione al riguardo.
A nostro avviso, NON siamo davanti ad image-artifacts nè a rilievi soggetti ad una forma di distorsione dell'immagine dovuta al tipo di angolo visuale adottato da MRO (e quindi rilievi "regolari" che appaiono "distorti" in seguito ad un effetto ottico).
La Verità, al momento, è che siamo in presenza di rilievi peculiari di Marte e, di fatto, non solo inesplicabili, ma anche totalmente ignorati (almeno in via "ufficiale") dalle maggiori Agenzie Spaziali.
