Syrius.jpgSirius A and Sirius B70 visite"…Nel corso della mia vita ho conosciuto tante persone e con molte di queste, i rapporti sono stati tali da non farmele restare estranee nel ricordo, eppure, non ho memoria di un dispiacere vero e profondo quando mi è giunta notizia che una di queste persone era morta. E' piuttosto la notizia a lasciarmi per qualche attimo pensieroso, non il dolore.

SOL589.gifFlat-Face is winkin' at us? - Sol 58970 visiteUna bellissima interpretazione di una Roccia Marziana "mutante", come sempre operata dal Dr Feltri.
Nota: tutte le ricostruzioni operate dal Dr Feltri (come da qualsiasi altro Ricercatore) che vengono pubblicate sul Sito Lunar Explorer Italia, sono ottenute con frames NASA originali NON elaborati nè digitalmente riveduti e/o corretti (diciamo "migliorati").
Questo significa che le cose "strane" che vedete, sono "strane" in Natura, su Marte, e non sono il risultato di una qualche elaborata ricostruzione realizzata usando dei super-softwares o quant'altro. Che poi la NASA, l'ESA e tanti altri Scienziati che operano in questo campo "non riescano a vedere niente di strano"...Beh, questo è un problema loro, non nostro.
Non credete?!?...

Cogliamo l'occasione per precisare che a questa conclusione era arrivato - prima di tutti - anche il nostro Amico "Roby", che salutiamo caramente.

Ariel.jpgAriel (HR)70 visiteLa tormentata superficie di Ariel si rivela in tutto il suo (comunque grande) fascino.
Una serie di impressionanti fratture tettoniche (forse un raffreddamento troppo rapido?) caratterizza l'Est e l'Ovest di questo mondo lontano; svariati mega-canyons, lunghi e profondi, passano attraverso l'equatore di Ariel, frammentandosi e ramificandosi poi in centinaia di crepacci minori; distese simili ai "mari" della Luna contraddistinguono una buona parte della sua superficie la quale, inoltre, sembra avere delle aree (alla Vostra Sx - Eastern limb) la cui albedo (alta) appare molto diversa rispetto al resto del Pianeta.
Da notare che, a differenza di quanto accade per le altre lune di Urano (come per la maggior parte delle lune dei quattro Giganti Gassosi), non riusciamo a distinguere che un modesto numero di crateri da impatto e questa circostanza è sicuramente strana: che Ariel sia passata, magari, attraverso una parziale e "recente" (in senso geologico) ridefinizione della sua superficie?

Nobody is yet sure, but the question arose recently when 2003 UB313, an object currently twice as far out as Pluto and not in the plane with the rest of the Planets, was verified recently to be 30% wider than Pluto. UB313's size was estimated (of course in a VERY approximate way!) by measuring how much infrared light this celestial body emits. Previous size estimates were based only on visible light and greatly affected by how reflective the object is.
Whether 2003 UB313 is officially declared a planet will be answered shortly by the International Astronomical Union (IAU).
In the above picture, a scientific artist has imagined UB313 in its distant orbit around the Sun, coupled with a hypothetical moon.

Una manipolazione sulle cui reali origini e motivazioni non vale davvero la pena parlarne ora e qui.
"The accumulative evidence that I've seen indicates that the suspicious rounded and oval mounts possibly represents at least indirectly different life equally dependent on this surface water resource but which adopted a different survival strategy. They do not locate on slopes or grades but in more level terrain shallow water pools or where the ground is extra water saturated for a sustained period and then form these large elevated forms. Their plentiful numbers here in Aram Chaos but smaller size relative to some that I've seen may suggest that the shrinking water conditions in Aram Chaos is a relatively more recent phenomena as opposed to a even more ancient scenario"

Cometary globules are typically characterized by dusty heads and elongated tails. These features cause cometary globules to have visual similarities to comets, but in reality they are very much different. Globules are frequently the birthplaces of stars, and many show very young stars in their heads. The reason for the rupture in the head of this object is not completely known.
