AMIE obtained these images on 13 January 2006, 1' apart from each other, from a distance of about 1220 Km(top frame) and 1196 Km (bottom frame) from the surface, with a ground resolution of 110 and 108 mt per pixel, respectively.
The area shown in the top image is centred at a Latitude of 16,2º South and Longitude 40,2º West, while the bottom images is centred at a Latitude of 17,9º South and Longitude 40,2º West.
Gassendi is an impact feature located on the Near Side of the Moon, at the Northern Edge of Mare Humorum. The crater is actually much larger than the field of view visible in this image. The hills on the lower right of the mosaic are the central peak of the crater, with a height of roughly 1,2 Km. The crater almost fully visible on the top is called Gassendi A".

Naturalmente c’era una cosa che la nomenklatura gialla poteva e doveva fare per scongiurare il disastro: aumentare le paghe alla pari con la crescita del PIL, mettere più soldi in tasca ai suoi centinaia di milioni di lavoratori poverissimi, creare così un mercato di consumo interno decentemente vasto.
Non l’ha fatto: ha voluto sfruttare fino in fondo il vantaggio comparativo per cui è celebre
sul pianeta, i salari da 60 euro al mese.
Vecchi, idioti comunisti che vogliono fare i primi della classe del capitalismo.
Ma è inutile insultare loro: Prodi, Visco e Padoa Schioppa stanno facendo lo stesso a noi.
Anche il nostro potere d’acquisto cala e cala vistosamente.
Anche da noi accolgono milioni di nuovi immigrati, che si contentano di paghe basse.
Perché sperano così di renderci competitivi nell’export.
Ma quale export?
Arrivano i tempi dell’autarchia di necessità e loro, sempre in ritardo intellettuale, manco se ne accorgono.

From the nature of the boundary between the dark mare lavas and the lighter materials at the base of the walls and in the central peak, we know that the lavas must have lapped upon and embayed the lighter materials. The relatively level areas of lighter material in the southwest and northwest parts of the floor have a distinctly different texture than the coarse blocky materials of slumped wall that surround the floor elsewhere. Finely cracked, furrowed, and hummocky, they closely resemble parts of the floor of the crater King. They probably consist of impact melt that solidified to form the original floor of Tsiolkovsky before it was flooded by mare lavas.
