Charlie Duke offers this description of the scene: "This picture shows the mortar package with the red flag extended and it's facing off parallel to the geophone line. You can't really see the geophone line in the background, but you can see where John walked. That's basically his footprints along the geophone line and it trends off to the northwest. And you can see the spaghetti cable that goes back to the Central Station - not only for the data but also for the power. The magnetometer's in the far background, just over the mortar package. You can see the RTG and Central Station."

APOLLO 16 AS 16-122-19537.jpgAS 16-122-19537 - Rendez-Vous (3)110 visiteUn solo commento, per gli amanti dei dettagli ("dettagli" per modo di dire): questi tre frames sono stati scannerizzati dal Kipp Teague - un vero professionista, a cui dobbiamo fare tanto di cappello - e sono tutti e tre, come la NASA ci dice, in "natural colors". Già, ma la superficie della Luna, nel primo frame, è giallognola; nel secondo è verdastra mentre nel terzo è color grigio cenere.
E allora, senza scomodare Marte e lo Spazio Profondo, quali sono i "true colors" della Luna? Come fare a stabilirlo (ammesso che sia possibile, un giorno, arrivare a farlo)? Qual'è il "vero problema", cover-up a parte, della fotografia spaziale?

Le caratteristiche di questi sassi, in rapporto alle caratteristiche del suolo Lunare - così come appare nelle immagini che Vi mostriamo - , ci fanno pensare che si tratti, ancora una volta, di "ejecta".

Le ipotesi sono tante e, come sempre, Vi invitiamo a valutarle con serenità e senza idee preconcette e poi ad esprimere una opinione coerente con i dati disponibili.
