Faccin; inset in Natural Colors, credits: Lunar Explorer Italia)106 visiteOsservate attentamente: appena visibile nell'inset in Colori Naturali, ma del tutto evidente in quello elaborato in Falsi Colori, potete vedere NITIDAMENTE il margine (bordo) inferiore del pozzo (caratterizzato da piccoli accumuli di sabbia e pietrisco) anche guardando ATTRAVERSO LA SUPERFICIE TRASLUCIDA (color ambra nella versione in Colori Naturali e color celeste nella versione in Falsi Colori) che sembra formare una sorta di "anello" (o un numero "9") intorno al bordo superiore del pozzo.
Di qualunque materia si tratti, questo fenomeno a noi sembra straordinario; e a Voi???MareKromium

Si tratta di un "Mirtillo Translucido" (diremmo che sembra avere/dimostrare una sorta di "natura perlacea") che si stacca, nettamente, da tutti gli altri "Mirtilli" peresenti nel campo visivo di Opportunity. Non servono certo degli "occhi di falco" per cogliere la Singolarità, ma solo tanta Pazienza, Perseveranza e Competenza specifica.
Ma perchè il "Mirtillo" in questione, a differenza delle migliaia di migliaia che lo circondano, è translucido? Beh, noi, in quanto Ricercatori SERI e COMPETENTI, abbiamo qualche ipotesi a riguardo. Ipotesi che, come ovvio, discuteremo privatamente e off-line (basta regali a chi non li merita!).

Fienga - Lunexit Team) 56 visiteThis Terrain is located near the North Pole. The bright patch of material is ice, which might have been deposited in the previous Winter.
After ice in the form of surface frost is deposited from the Atmosphere, it experiences changes throughout the Martian Year. Some of the ice has a polygonal texture which probably formed when temperature variations created stress and cracks in the ice.
The dark features scattered throughout the scene are Dunes. The streaks emanating from the Dunes trending in the South/West direction indicate the dominant direction of the wind in recent times.MareKromium
