Faccin)115 visiteNon Vi potrà sfuggire, una volta inforcati i "magici" occhialini per la visione tridimensionale, che la "botola" - rectius: ciò che SEMBRAVA essere una botola - è in realtà la porzione superiore di un macigno la cui albedo e forma, nella loro visione tridimensionale, ci avevano tratti in inganno.
Insomma: la "botola" è un semplice - ancorchè MOLTO SUGGESTIVO - effetto ottico.
In sede di contestualizzazione dei dettagli offerti dal frame, poi, Vi suggeriamo di guardare non solo lo "spuntone" che fuoriesce da un'altra (pseudo)roccia, situata circa a centro frame, ma anche il macigno "nero" (davvero INSPIEGABILMENTE - e, si direbbe, quasi INNATURALMENTE - NERO!) che si trova in prossimità del margine Sx del frame.
Ora, come ben sapete, la Razionalità e la Pragmaticità ci pongono dei limiti (degli ovvi limiti) interpretativi a quello che vediamo. Ma che, in qualche modo ed in qualche forma, ci si trovi davanti NON SOLO ad un suggestivo EFFETTO OTTICO (la "botola"), MA ANCHE A DUE ANOMALIE di SUPERFICIE del tutto straordinarie (o ad una Anomalìa e ad una "censura"), a noi sembra palese...

Silver Spur is named for Caltech geologist Lee Silver, who showed Scott and Irwin that field geology could be exciting (see Don Wilhelm's excellent book "To a Rocky Moon").
Note that there appear to be 2 systems of lineations in Silver Spur. One set consists of what appear to be about ten thick beds which appear to dip down from right to left as seen from the LM. As discussed in the Apollo 15 Preliminary Science Report, this set of lineations may well represent real structure in the mountain.
The second set of lineations consists of closely-spaced, nearly horizontal lines and these lines may be lighting artifacts".
