Notice the line of footprints that Pete Conrad made when he came over from the location of the 4 o'clock pan. This photo gives an impresssion of the way the ground was swept by the engine exhaust.

Proprio sulla perpendicolare della Bandiera Americana c'è "qualcosa". All'inizio abbiamo pensato ad una leggera scoloritura del frame, uno dei tanti segno del Tempo che passa, ma poi...Poi abbiamo guardato meglio ed abbiamo anche ritrovato il medesimo dettaglio nel frame 18341. Che cosa fare? In questi casi, l'unica cosa sensata da fare è scomporre l'immagine in quadranti e controllarli uno per uno, ingrandendo il frame sino ai limiti concessi per valutare l'immagine senza sgranarla e renderla inutile. E' stato così che abbiamo "scoperto", si fa per dire, che la "scoloritura" del frame NON era una scoloritura. Non era un image-artifact. Perchè? Perchè, se guardate bene (anche nel context frame), noterete che questa curiosa luminescenza biancastra si sta riflettendo, per altro con una certa chiarezza, nel visore di Young.
Perchè John stava saltando? Siamo sicuri che lo stesse facendo solo per darci un esempio tangibile degli effetti della ridotta gravità lunare? O forse stava solo cercando (con successo!) di attrarre la nostra attenzione su questo frame e, nel contempo, cercava di "vedere meglio" quel qualcosa di indefinibile che aleggiava su di lui?
Pensateci sopra e, se possiamo permetterci di darVi un consiglio, lasciateci dire che le evidenze fotografiche dell'esistenza di qualcosa di non terrestre (sulla Luna, come su Marte o altrove nel Sistema Solare) non ci mostreranno MAI, nei frames NASA (ed ESA!), qualcosa di "eclatante" e di inequivocabile. Mai.

He is off the ground about 1,45" which, in the lunar gravity field, means that he launched himself at a velocity of about 1,17 mt/s and reached a maximum height of 0,42 mt. Although the suit and backpack weigh as much as he does, his total weight is only about 65 pounds (30 kg) and, to get this height, he only had to bend his knees slightly and then push up with his legs. In the background, we can see the UV astronomy camera, the flag, the LM, the Rover with the TV camera watching John and Stone Mountain".

Nota: la "nuvoletta luminosa" si è spostata in maniera davvero eclatante rispetto ad AS 113-18339 e, agli Amici che volessero controllare di persona quello che offre la NASA nella Raccolta "Apollo 16 - Lunar Surface Journal" (http://history.nasa.gov/alsj/a16/a16.html), diciamo subito che l'Anomalìa si vede distintamente anche nei frames HR, ma (ovviamente) non in formato originale, colà riportati.
