Questo frame, a nostro parere STRAORDINARIO, lo commentammo già 13 anni fa (Marzo 2007): che cos'è quel "cristallo" che giace a circa un metro da Opportunity, ci chiedemmo?
Si tratta di ghiaccio?
Un diamante?
Un frammento di Quarzo (anche se la NASA ci dice - con buona ragione - che il quarzo, su Marte, è rarissimo)?
Un'immagine chiara oltre ogni dubbio: si tratta di un "cristallo".
Un'immagine quasi impressionante; un quesito importante e per nulla ozioso.
Una possibile Scoperta.

Here, the spacecraft was above a position about 45° North of the moon's Equator.
This vantage point afforded a view of the moon's three most recognizable features: the Ithaca Chasma Canyon System (at lower right), Odysseus Crater (at upper left) and the Equatorial Band of Darker Terrain (at lower left).
Lit terrain seen here is on the Leading Hemisphere of Tethys (1062 Km, or approx. 660 miles across). North is up.
The image was taken in Visible Light with the NASA - Cassini Spacecraft narrow-angle camera on April 29, 2008.
The view was obtained at a distance of approx. 991.000 Km (such as about 616.000 miles) from Tethys and at Phase Angle of 73°.

Se Vi capitasse di vedere un qualcosa del genere nei Cieli Notturni, sappiate che NON é né una "Shooting Star" né un "UFO". E' solo il flash (raggi del Sole che si riflettono sui pannelli) di un Satellite Artificiale della Classe "IRIDIUM".
Nota: "Iridium" è un Sistema di Satelliti per Telecomunicazioni, il cui nome deriva da "Iridio" (n. 77 della Tavola Periodica degli Elementi). Per curiosità, 77 era esattamente il numero di satelliti che il Progetto originariamente prevedeva di posizionare in orbita terrestre.
A Settembre 2019, tuttavia, solo 72 sono effettivamente nello Spazio Circum-Terrestre (66 attivi e 6 quiescenti).MareKromiumDic 31, 2019

It is the first Outer Space Robotic Explorer to study in-depth the "inner space" of Mars: its crust, mantle, and core.
The "InSight" Lander uses cutting edge instruments, to delve deep beneath the Surface and seek the fingerprints of the processes that formed the terrestrial planets.
It does so by measuring the Planet's "vital signs": its "pulse" (seismology), "temperature" (heat flow), and "reflexes" (such as: precision tracking).
