Prima di tutto bisogna visualizzare l'oggetto in questione. I Buchi Neri sono "mostri" (???) meravigliosi ed enigmatici, spesso difficili da comprendere per specie "semplici" come la nostra.
Un Buco Nero è definito dal suo "Orizzonte degli Eventi", un punto (Nota: NO! NON è un "punto": è un "Luogo Matematico!!) di non ritorno oltre il quale la materia viene risucchiata. Abbiamo calcolato (Nota: CHI? E COME?) che se il Sole diventasse un Buco Nero (tranquilli, non può accadere - Nota: NO! Non è dimostrabile!) il suo Orizzonte degli Eventi sarebbe largo solo (circa) 6 Km. Un Buco Nero super-massiccio, invece, di quelli che si trovano (Nota: ne siamo sicuri?!?) al Centro delle Galassie, avrebbe un Orizzonte degli Eventi più grande del nostro Sistema Solare (Ribadisco: CHI lo ha ipotizzato e come?!?).
Quindi cosa succede quando si supera quel confine? Lo spazio-tempo sarebbe così distorto che il tempo diventerebbe spazio e lo spazio diventerebbe tempo. Si chiama "Singolarità" ed è una curvatura così estrema da tendere all'infinito, qualcosa che intrappola tutto (persino la luce).
E dall'altra parte cosa c'è? Alcune teorie descrivono i Buchi Neri come "Portali" che collegano parti molto lontane dell'Universo, o di altri Universi. Ma la verità è che potrebbe finire tutto nella Singolarità.
Per risolvere questo mistero avremmo bisogno di una definitiva Teoria della Gravità "Quantistica", la grande sfida che attanaglia tutti gli scienziati ed i fisici del nostro secolo.MareKromiumOtt 13, 2022

Mars_Equatorial_Region_VM.jpgIs there really water on the Surface of Mars?!?126 visiteNel 2018 l'Orbiter ESA Mars Express aveva osservato qualcosa nel Polo Sud Marziano. Grazie ai dati raccolti dallo strumento Mars Advanced Radar for Subsurface and Ionosphere Sounding (MARSIS) era stato captato un segnale che poteva rispondere alla presenza di acqua liquida sotterranea.
Sotto la regione chiamata Ultima Scopuli era stato visto un riflesso, come di uno specchio d'acqua. Sulla Terra, riflessi così possono essere trovati nei laghi subglaciali come il lago Vostok in Antartide, che giace sotto più di 3 Km di ghiaccio e che è lì da milioni di anni. Eppure questa somiglianza non è una prova (Nota: ogni volta che "qualcosa" di curiosamente plausibile viene inquadrata su Marte non è MAI una "prova". Strano...).
Oggi questa spiegazione comincia ad essere meno solida (solo) perché molti studiosi (chi?!?) suggeriscono che il segnale non provenga da ghiaccio o acqua bensì da strati geologici sottostanti fatti di minerali e Anidride Carbonica congelata.
Ultimamente un team di ricerca ha utilizzato i dati radar di MARSIS, insieme a simulazioni al computer, per indagare su questo mistero. Gli scienziati hanno simulato strati di ghiaccio e altre sostanze, come la roccia basaltica formatasi dopo le antiche eruzioni vulcaniche su Marte, per vedere come questi materiali avrebbero reagito alla luce in arrivo.
"Nulla del lavoro che abbiamo fatto smentisce la possibile esistenza di acqua allo stato liquida su Marte", ha detto Dan Lalich, Autore della Ricerca. "Pensiamo solo che l'ipotesi dell'interferenza sia più coerente con altre osservazioni. Non sono sicuro che niente, a meno di una perforazione esplorativa (---> Carotaggio), potrebbe definitivamente (?) dimostrare la realtà (verità)".MareKromiumOtt 13, 2022

The LROC Science Operations Center received an unexpected Visitor: Ruslan Kuzmin. He was one of the scientists who had actually participated in the Lunokhod missions! We were able to show him LROC pictures of the hardware on the Surface and he was gracious enough to write down some of his thoughts upon seeing his "Old Friends".
"Thank you very much for showing me the excellent LROC images of the Lander platform from Luna-21, as well as the robotic Lunar Rover “Lunokhod-2” in its last and eternal parking place after a 37-Km, 4 month journey of research. To see the images with Lunokhod-2 and its tracks on the Lunar Surface is a very special feeling for me. In the time of the Lunokhod-2 operation, I was a young planetologist who was participating in the mission, and I analyzed the images received by the Rover’s TV- cameras. In fact, this was the first successful mission in which I was involved. It was many years ago (52 now!) when the Lunokhod-2 traveled for four months within the Crater Le-Monier at the eastern edge of the Mare Serenitatis.
While looking at LROC images of the Lunokhod-2 rover, I felt a deep interior excitement due to the welled up memories of the earliest “pages” of my science career. It is very exciting that the Lunokhod-2, as well as many other American and Soviet Union Landers, which operated many tens of years ago, now might be imaged by LROC so clearly and viewed by millions of people around the world. The LRO camera is without any doubt a really fantastic instrument that simultaneously brings our eyes close to the Lunar Surface, while reminding us of pioneering results from Historical Missions".MareKromiumOtt 09, 2022

It carried the first successful robotic lunar rover -- Lunokhod 1. For the next ten months the rover was driven by operators in the Soviet Union, with the total distance traveled exceeding 10 km. For comparison, in six years of operation the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity has traveled about 12 km.
After landing, the rover drove down a ramp onto the lunar surface and tested its eight wheels. The rover was driven by solar power during the day; at night it parked and relied on thermal energy from a polonium-210 radioisotope heater to survive the cold (-150°C).
The intrepid rover sent back valuable data concerning the composition of the regolith (soil), close up views of the local topography, and important engineering measurements of the regolith.
Note: Soviet Robotic Lander Luna 17 still sitting on Mare Imbrium where it delivered the Lunokhod 1 Rover in November 1970. MareKromiumOtt 09, 2022

Radio_Signals.jpgFast Radio Bursts142 visiteI "Lampi (le Esplosioni) Radio Veloci" (Fast Radio Bursts) sono uno dei grandi misteri dell'Universo.
Esplosioni di Energia estremamente potenti che viaggiano a velocità impressionanti e la cui origine non è chiara. Ultimamente un potente telescopio cinese ha rilevato 1.863 lampi in 82 ore su 54 giorni da una sorgente attiva chiamata FRB 20201124A. Molti scienziati ritengono che questi segnali potrebbero essere emessi da brillamenti (repentini) di Stelle Collassate (Nota: ne dubito...) o Magnetars, ma c'è chi afferma non si possa escludere (a-priori) siano segnali artificiali, lanciati da una qualche Civiltà lontana della Galassia. (Nota: ripenso al Segnale "WOW")
L'astrofisico Bing Zhang dell'Università del Nevada, Las Vegas, ha dichiarato: “È chiaro che gli FRB sono più misteriosi di quello che abbiamo immaginato. Sono necessarie più campagne di osservazione a più lunghezze d'onda per svelare ulteriormente la natura di questi oggetti".
