ZZ-ZZ-ZZ-APOLLO_11_-_Lift-Off-00.jpgFast-walker in transit after Eagle's Lunar lift-off (1)87 visiteDa una splendida elaborazione del Dr Barca, due elaborazioni di un documento spettacolare e dal grandissimo valore storico (sebbene, ahinoi, poco conosciuto): si tratta di un fotogramma ripreso dal lungo filmato che testimonia le operazioni di decollo dalla Luna della porzione superiore del LM Eagle (il cosiddetto "Ascent Stage") sino al docking con il Command Space Module Columbia che attendeva in orbita. Questo filmato, riproposto anche dall'ESA nel suo promo "Perchè andare sulla Luna" (vedere l'ESA Multimedia Gallery per verificare), ritrae - per la gioia degli "scettici-a-tutti-i-costi" - il transito, ad una distanza imprecisata (ma probabilmente non molto grande) dall'Ascent Stage del LM Eagle, di un Oggetto Volante Non Identificato il quale, a nostro avviso, fa parte della grande "Famiglia" dei Fast-Walkers.Nov 05, 2006

ZZ-ZZ-ZZ-APOLLO_11_-_Lift-Off-01.jpgFast-walker in transit after Eagle's Lunar lift-off (2)106 visiteSi tratta di un oggetto (apparentemente) di forma sferica (forse leggermente ovalizzata), luccicante (e dunque metallico?!?) il quale, assecondando un movimento di rotazione su stesso e cambiando leggermente rotta per almeno 2 o 3 volte nel periodo di tempo durante il quale è stato ripreso (circa 1" solo di filmato, purtroppo), sfreccia nel campo visivo della telecamera fissa che effettuava la ripresa (e dunque gli Astronauti NON misero mano - letteralmente - nella realizzazione del filmato che immortala questo straordinario evento).
Di che cosa si tratta? Impossibile dirlo. Che cosa NON è, allora? Ecco, questa risposta è un pò più semplice da darsi: non è un vizio dell'immagine; non è un riflesso; non è un "pezzo" di qualcosa che è stata "gettata via" dallo stesso Ascent Stage; non è un meteorite e non è - ovviamente - una illusione ottica.
E allora, che cosa sarà mai? Beh, questo decidetelo Voi (e, mentre lo fate, ricordateVi - per favore - di dire grazie all'ESA ed alla NASA - per la gentile concessione - ed al Dr Barca - per l'occhio e la pazienza, rispettivamente, avuto e dimostrata)...Nov 05, 2006

An evolution in the LM's design is also apparent: the RCS plume deflectors, mounted on the Descent Stage underneath each RCS quad, were added to prevent the thermal damage observed on the Apollo 10 LM.

He moved to his left between frames and this may be the moment when he goes out of the TV field-of-view. This picture gives us a good view of the split boulder that is between the two experiments. In the background, we can see the LM, the U.S. flag, and the TV camera. Note the footprints at the lower right. The astronaut who made them seems to have been moving from right to left. The rightmost footprint made with his left boot has a very deep toe imprint while the rightmost imprint made by his right boot is relatively flat and uniform. While bringing his left foot forward for the next step, he seems to have been dragging his heel, a clear indication that he was walking flat-foot, rather then hopping or running. The next left-boot toe print is deep while above it, we see that he was also scuffing his right heel along the surface. Note that the next prints made by both boots indicate that he turned to his right".Ott 22, 2006
