1) la scala cromatica propria dello Gnomon - in basso a Dx - è sbiadita, ma non si tratta di un difetto del frame - noi pensiamo che la causa dello sbiadimento sia nelle polveri depositatesi sul tripode -;
2) osservate i colori della Superficie Lunare che appaiono riflessi nella visiera di Jack Schmitt e confrontateli con i colori che caratterizzano il frame: la differenza è profonda, ma non c'è mistero. In realtà la spiegazione dei diversi colori è nella particolare schermatura protettiva (anti-abbagliamento e proteggi-vista) che caratterizza il cristallo di cui la visiera è costituita e che le fa assumere un color ambra/dorato il quale, ovviamente, snatura i colori sia del panorama, sia degli oggetti che si riflettono in essa)".Ott 23, 2006
