Bonneville Crater and a 360° panorama (1) - Sol 68

Questa ripresa - frammentata, a causa delle sue enormi dimensioni - ci mostra una panoramica a 360° che comprende il punto di partenza del Rover (The Nest), la Silver Anomaly (una sfera argentea con dei filamenti i quali sembrano dipartirsi da essa, del tutto anomala, ma mai spiegata dalla NASA, nonostante le nostre - certo insignificanti, ma comunque innumerevoli - richieste), il Cratere Bonneville e, sul suo margine, il presunto Heat-Shield che brilla al Sole (a volte si, ed altre volte no...).

Insomma: una grande panoramica che, se avrete il tempo e la pazienza di esaminarla sin nei dettagli, Vi riserverà grandi sorprese e Vi darà, ne siamo certi, immensa soddisfazione!

Caption NASA originale:"This 360° view from a position beside the Bonneville Crater was assembled from frames taken by the PanCam on NASA's MER Spirit. Half of this panorama was first released on March 15, 2004. The entire mosaic, recently completed, reveals not only the crater rim and interior, but Spirit's tracks and a glimpse at part of the rover. The images were acquired on sol 68, March 12, 2004, just one day after Spirit reached this location. The image is a false-color composite made from frames taken with the camera's L2 (750 nanometer), L5 (530 nanometer) and L6 (480 nanometer) filters".
