The Kaguya (SELENE) Probe The SELenological and ENgineering Explorer "KAGUYA"(SELENE), Japan’s 1st large Lunar Explorer, was launched by the H-IIA rocket on September 14, 2007 (JST). The mission, which is the largest Lunar Mission since the Apollo Program, is being keenly anticipated by many countries. The major objectives of the Mission are to understand the Moon’s origin and evolution and to observe the Moon in various ways in order to utilize it in the future. The Lunar Missions that have been conducted so far have gathered a large amount of information on the Moon, but the mysteries of its origin and evolution have been left unsolved. KAGUYA will investigate the entire Moon in order to obtain information on its elemental and mineralogical composition, geography, surface and sub-surface structure, the remnant of its magnetic field and its gravity field. The results are expected to lead to a better overall understanding of the Moon’s evolution. At the same time, the observation equipment installed on the orbiting satellite will observe plasma, the electromagnetic field and high-energy particles. The data obtained in this way will be of great scientific importance for exploring the possibility of using the moon for human endeavors. Parole chiave: Drawings

The Kaguya (SELENE) Probe

Lo scrivo qui perchè tra le gallerie è quella che più si avvicina al luogo geografico da cui nasce la notizia: l'agenzia spaziale cinese ha dichiarato che entro la fine del prossimo anno invierà una missione in grado di atterrare sulla Luna e ripartire verso la Terra, un ulteriore passo verso la missione umana... Speriamo!

Dai, su... te li immagini 10 cinesini stipati in una capsula in viaggio su Marte che si domandano perchè non hanno spiegato loro come si torna indietro? La Luna è la normale palestra per i viaggi spaziali...

Credete davvero che non ci sia nessuno al mondo pronto a sacrificare la propria vita (al 90% con il rischio di non tornare più) per essere il primo uomo su Marte?

Certo, onore e gloria alla prima impronta... ma per la Cina sarebbe un colpo letale alla loro immagine di potenza tecnologica: riescono a mandare, ma non son capaci di far tornare dei P.G.A. (sigla di un prof universitario di un amico)

Ops... nel riscrivere la frase (la prima "stesura" era troppo astrusa) ho cancellato il significato: Piccoli Gialli Assai (troppi)! La sigla è stata usata da un prof di economia (se ricordo bene) dell'università di Cosenza al rientro da un convegno, non ricordo se in Cina o Giappone... il senso non cambia! eheheh

Appunto! E non vuoi che non ci sia qualche cinese pronto ad espatriare dalla Cina a rischio della propria vita e pronto a rimanere nel firmamento a costo di mettere un piede su Marte e lasciarci le penne dopo 2 secondi?
