AS 17-147-22580 - ALSEP Panorama: Up-Sun
|
This frame is taken from Jack Schmitt's ALSEP Pan, from near the RTG (right). It shows the LM in the glare of the Sun. The East Massif is in the distance on the right-hand side of the picture while the Sculptured Hills are behind the LM. Note the relatively high reflectivity of the Rover tracks in the middle distance and of the foreground footprints. The higher albedo is produced when the surface is compressed by a hard flat object, such as the sole of the lunar boot of by the chevrons on the Rover tires.
