WOW.jpgW.O.W.!!! Well known, but it's just an acronym. Did you know it?198 visitePer il "Segnale WOW" furono individuate due possibili Coordinate Equatoriali: A.R. = 19h, 22' er 24,64" ± 5" et A.R. = 19h, 25' et 17.01" ± 5". Entrambe le coordinate hanno una Declinazione uguale a - 27°03' ± 20' e ricadono (???) entro il confine Sud-Orientale della Costellazione del Sagittario.
Considerata la natura dell'esperimento, l'origine del Segnale può trovarsi in una delle due aree di cui sopra. Per comodità di rappresentazione grafica, la larghezza delle predette aree non è in scala e quindi dovrebbero essere ancora più strette.
Nota: Il Radiotelescopio Big Ear era fisso e sfruttava la rotazione della Terra per scandagliare il cielo. Alla velocità di rotazione della Terra, data anche la larghezza della sua "Finestra", il Radiotelescopio poteva osservare un qualunque punto del Cielo solo per 72". Quindi ci si aspettava che un Segnale Extraterrestre fosse registrato per esattamente (e SOLO!) 72"!
L'intensità registrata di quel Segnale avrebbe poi mostrato un innalzamento graduale per i primi 36" – ossia finché il Segnale Radio non avesse raggiunto il centro della "Finestra" – seguito da una progressiva diminuzione. Quindi, sia per la sua durata di (circa) 72", sia per la sua forma, il Segnale avrebbe avuto (o dovuto avere) un'Origine Extraterrestre.

Xmas_Truce_1914.jpgThat Day of Peace of 107 years ago205 visiteThere are times when people simply forget what they are made of and other moments when we remember the "Legacy" that should limk us all.
Today, December 24th 2021, We decided, as Lunar Explorer Italia, to wish you a Peaceful Christmas Eve and a serene Christmas Day. And, to do so, we decided to forget the Planets and the Stars for a day, and make a jump back in time. This Historical Event that we wish to remember is worldwide known as "The Christmas Truce" of 1914.
It seemed (and, perhaps, it still seems) impossible that anything like that might have happened during those war times and in those circumstances. But the "Miracle" of Christmas did happen, and we should remember it (once again) and be proud of that unbelievanle event which took place 107 years ago.
And perhaps we should remember it NOW more than ever. As you all know, we live a period where pain, death, violence and even a thick feeling of hopelessness and diffuse paranoia seem to have flooded our World.
We must look forward, of course. But, sometime, in order to walk toward a better Future, it might be good thing to look at a now far and distant past.
We want to remember that Night of the AD 1914, the Men who made the Miracle to happen a we wish a new Miracle to come, all over the Earth, by the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
May the infinite Galaxies of the Universe shine bright for you all, whoever you are and wherever you live. Tonight, tomorrow and through the Time that will come. Merry Christmas!

Luna-FGL.jpgRising...101 visiteDomenica 5 Agosto, 2012, Oliviero, Papà della nostra Grande Amica e, da tempo, Partner della nostra Fondazione, Ivana Tognoloni, ha lasciato questa Dimensione (sovente, ahinoi, fatta di Sofferenza) e si è avviato lungo il Cammino che, auspicabilmente, conduce a Nuovi Lidi e Nuove Esistenze, da qualche parte, oltre i nostri Orizzonti Visibili. Tutta l'Astronave "Lunar Explorer" ed il suo Equipaggio, salutano Oliviero, nella Speranza che Ivana possa accettare l'Inevitabile e farsene una Ragione, e con la Certezza che, un giorno, Ivana ed Oliviero si ritroveranno ancora. Da qualche parte.

The_Faces_of_Mars.jpgSo different and yet always the same...60 visiteDa "NASA - Picture of the Day" del giorno 5 Maggio 2010:"Enthusiastic astro-artists ranging from expert to beginner, the youngest age 10, all contributed their work to this entertaining panel featuring different faces of Mars. Their sketches are all based on telescopic views of the Red Planet from earlier this year, near its 2010 Opposition.
Mars offers the best telescopic views at opposition, since that's when it is closest and opposite the Sun in planet Earth's sky. Arranged in a spiral pattern, the sketches are positioned to follow the Planet's rotation.
No canals are visible(!), but large surface markings such as the dramatic, dark Syrtis Major are easily identified. As often seen through an astronomical telescope eyepiece, the Planet's orientation is inverted, with Mars' north polar cap at the bottom".
Nota Lunexit: dunque, se leggete attentamente "tra le righe" (ma nemmeno tanto: il concetto formulato dalla NASA a noi appare chiaro), anche il Grande Schiaparelli era un cretino ed i "Canali" se li è sognati. Piuttosto triste come considerazione. Silente è la NASA, invece, allorchè si nota come la colorazione globale di Marte vari non solo da occhio ad occhio, ma anche - e abbastanza ovviamente - da stagione a stagione. Ah, già, ma questo tipo di considerazione non si può fare: la NASA ha già detto (e mostrato) che Marte è SEMPRE color salmone e giallastro (con tratti verdognoli) e quindi l'unica conclusione che possiamo trarre è che quasi tutti gli artisti che hanno ritratto il Pianeta Rosso in questo collage devono necessariamente soffrire di un qualche disturbo nella percezione del colore. Glory.jpgGlory never fades...99 visiteIf you tried to enter this hall of fog, you would find it dissipates around you. The hall is actually an the mountain from which this picture was taken.
Known as "The Glory", the phenomenon is frequently seen from airplanes. The ring's center is not visible, but if it were, the shadow of the observer would appear. This shadow would likely change as clouds passed, creating a faux moving giant known as the Brocken Spectre.
Pictured above, several concentric rings of the glory appear to create a hall for this mountain king. The cause of The Glory has only been understood recently and is relatively complex. Briefly, small droplets of water reflect, refract, and diffract Sunlight backwards towards the Sun. The phenomenon has a counterpart in astronomy, where looking out from planet Earth in the direction opposite the Sun yields a bright spot called "The Gegenschein".MareKromium

Questa dedica va a suggellare un'Amicizia nata sulle onde dei commenti e degli scambi dialettici intercorsi fra il Dr Cicetti ed il sottoscritto, sempre sulle pagine del summenzionato Sito (che viene aggiornato con cadenza quasi quotidiana e che Vi invito di Cuore a visitare, non appena Vi sentirete con lo Spirito giusto per andare "da qualche parte" - Irgendwo, in Lingua Tedesca, appunto).
Perchè andare "da qualche parte"? Perchè, come dice il Buon Stefano :"...Siamo sempre da qualche parte. Solo che la mente e il cuore ci arrivano prima. Sono dannatamente più rapidi dei nostri piedi...".
Ed anche delle nostre Astronavi, naturalmente.
