The_Moon_and_Venus.jpgCrescent Moon and Venus88 visiteCaption NASA, da "NASA - Picture of the Day" del giorno 6 Marzo 2009:"Last Friday (such as February, 27th, 2009), the Moon and Venus shared the early evening sky in a beautiful Conjunction.
Separated by only about 2, they also were both in a crescent phase.
Just like our Moon, Venus can appear as a full disk or a thin crescent. Frequently the brightest object in the post-sunset or pre-sunrise sky, Venus is so small that it usually requires binoculars or a small telescope to clearly see its phase.
This telescopic image of Friday's Conjunction shows off the similar crescent phases, with the tiny crescent Venus at the upper right".

The-MoonSlide.jpg
The-MoonSlide.jpgFrom Light, to Light (by Stefan Seip)78 visiteCaption NASA:"No special filters - or even a telescope - are required to enjoy a leisurely Lunar Eclipse. In fact, watched from all over the night side of planet Earth, these regular celestial performances have entertained many casual skygazers.
Still, this eye-catching picture of a Lunar Eclipse may look unfamiliar.
To make it, astroimager Stefan Seip set his camera on a tripod and locked the shutter open during the Total Lunar Eclipse of March 3, 2007.
The resulting image records the trail of the Moon (and narrower trails of stars) sliding through the night. Reddish hues common during the total phase of a Lunar Eclipse, are evident along the darker, slimmer portion of the Moon trail. (...)".

Aurora_Borealis.jpg
Aurora_Borealis.jpgAurora Borealis over Chena Lakes71 visiteCaption NASA:"Sometimes, after your eyes adapt to the dark, a spectacular sky appears. In this case, a picturesque lake lies in front of you, beautiful green aurora flap high above you, brilliant stars shine far in the distance, and, for a brief moment, a bright meteor streaks by. This digitally fused breathtaking panorama was captured late last month across one of the Chena Lakes in North Pole, Alaska, USA, and includes the Pleiades open cluster of stars on the image right. The shot is unusual not only for the many wonders it has captured simultaneously, but because lakes this far north tend to freeze and become non-reflecting before a sky this dark can be photographed".MareKromium55555

JustlikeIo.jpg
JustlikeIo.jpgJust like Io!123 visiteCaption NASA:"Volcano Tungurahua erupted spectacularly last year. Pictured above, molten rock so hot it glows visibly pours down the sides of the 5000-meter high Tungurahua, while a cloud of dark ash is seen being ejected toward the left.
Wispy white clouds flow around the lava-lit peak, while a star-lit sky shines in the distance.
The above image was captured last year (2006) as ash fell around the adventurous photographer. Located in Ecuador, Tungurahua has become active roughly every 90 years since for the last 1300 years. Volcano Tungurahua has started erupting again this year and continues erupting at a lower level even today".

Quante volte?

E quante volte ho provato a scrivere i Versi dell'Infinito?

Sun___clouds.jpg
Sun___clouds.jpgThe eclipse is real, but this picture is just a fake!76 visiteDa "NASA - Picture of the Day" del giorno 11 Aprile 2005:" (...) The above image composite was taken with a handheld digital camera. After a day of rain in Mt. Holly, North Carolina, USA, a partially eclipsed Sun momentarily peaked through a cloudy sky. After taking a sequence of images, the best eclipse shot was digitally combined with a less good eclipse shot that featured a passing airplane".

Horizon.jpg
Horizon.jpgMaybe the "Horizon" is the Future!103 visiteErano anni che aspettavamo di avere i mezzi tecnologici adatti a rilevare oggetti interstellari lontanissimi e oggi, finalmente, ci siamo arrivati.

Mentre Oumuamua no, tutt'altro.

A trovare nuovi incredibili oggetti spaziali sar molto presto il Vera C Rubin Observatory Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST).

WOW.jpg
WOW.jpgW.O.W.!!! Well known, but it's just an acronym. Did you know it?219 visitePer il "Segnale WOW" furono individuate due possibili Coordinate Equatoriali: A.R. = 19h, 22' er 24,64" 5" et A.R. = 19h, 25' et 17.01" 5".

O no?!?
