Questo, come la stessa rubrica Vi suggerisce, è il "Nido" che abbiamo osservato per svariati Soles. Se osservate l'immagine nella sua versione full-size (la definizione è davvero eccellente), non Vi sfuggirà, ancora una volta, la posizione - a nostro avviso ben lungi dall'essere naturale - di alcune delle rocce che formano questa specie di outcrop.

This false-color view is assembled from frames taken by Spirit's PanCam on the Rover's 454th Sol (April 13, 2005). It shows a region in the "Columbia Hills" slightly downhill from the Rover. The view features two interesting outcrops in the middle distance and "Clark Hill" in the left background. The outcrop on the right, with Rover tracks leading from it, is "Larry's Lookout." On the left is the Methuselah outcrop, with apparent layering. This view combines images taken through the camera's 750-nnmt, 530-nnmt and 430-nnmt filters".

This image shows rocky debris and dust, which planetary scientists call "regolith" or "soil," that has been churned up by the rover wheels. This 40-centimeter-wide (16-inch-wide) patch of churned-up dirt, nicknamed "Paso Robles," contains brighter patches measured to be high in sulfur by Spirit's alpha particle X-ray Spectrometer. Spirit's PanCam took this image on Sol 400 (such as February 16, 2005). The image represents the PanCam team's best current attempt at generating a true color view of what this scene would look like if viewed by a human on Mars. The image was generated from a combination of six calibrated, left-eye images acquired through filters ranging from 430-nanometer to 750-nanometer wavelengths".

SOL059-061-Spirit_Legacy_1-L256-A392R1_br2-03.jpgLegacy Panorama - Soles 59 to 61 (Approximate True Colors; credits: NASA/JPL-Caltech)81 visiteC'è anche un'altra possibilità e, per amore della chiarezza e dell'onestà intellettuale, la (ri)menzioniamo: può darsi che Marte CAMBI radicalmente i propri colori a seconda delle ore del giorno e che quindi, fotograficamente, il suo paesaggio si manifesti in maniera profondamente diversa (dal punto di vista del colore) a seconda che le immagini vengano scattate la mattina presto, di pomeriggio o verso sera. Se ricordate, ne avevamo già parlato di questa eventualità, ma le differenze che si vedono tra una foto e l'altra (e che vanno dal "colore di fondo", alla "consistenza" ed alla "densità cromatica" etc.) a noi appaiono troppo grandi per trovare la loro comune origine in una semplice (e tecnicamente correggibile!) "differenza di luminosità". E poi non dimentichiamo le immagini a "colori veri" e "quasi veri" dei Viking Landers e del Soujourner! Insomma: troppe contraddizioni ed incongruenze per non pensare che le idee sìano confuse (se volontariamente o di proposito lo lasciamo giudicare a Voi!)

Come l'ultimo che abbiamo pubblicato e che riguardava "Husband Hill". Tutti in "colori quasi veri" eppure tutti diversi. Anzi: DIVERSISSIMI!
Allora delle due l'una: o alla NASA non sanno nè quello che fanno, nè quello che dicono, oppure lo sanno benissimo e pensano che i "Liberi Ricercatori" sìano una massa di...stupidotti.

This mosaic is an approximately true-color rendering generated using the images acquired through filters centered at wavelengths of 750, 530, and 480 nanometers.
The Columbia Memorial Station lander can be seen about 200 meters (about 650 feet) in the distance by following the rover tracks back toward right of center in the mosaic and zooming in".
