Sono ormai 18 anni di lavoro. Come fototeca "pubblica", siamo largamente i primi in Europa. Secondi al Mondo, dopo la NASA (non considerando le fototeche dei vari Rover ed Orbiter, che comunque ricadono nella NASA stessa).
In ogni caso (visti i mezzi e le Risorse a disposizione) è stato ed è un risultato eccezionale ed inimmaginabile, almeno per me, al momento in cui tutto iniziò.
Tanti Siti, alcuni belli ed interessanti, altri...meno (Public Forum in primis), hanno - da tempo - chiuso i battenti. Qualcuno ci è stato vicino. Altri ci hanno attaccato, personalmente e gratuitamente. Altri si son comportati in maniera rivoltante, dopo aver rubato idee ed immagini. Ma non importa: c'est la Vie. Non si può piacere a tutti...
La caratteristica Prima e Fondamentale di Lunar Explorer Italia, in ogni caso, è nella pacatezza dei toni, nel possibilismo (non estremo), nella sobrietà e nell'Onestà Intellettuale. Abbiamo commesso errori e li abbiamo ammessi. Abbiamo - ritengo - fatto delle notevoli Scoperte, e siamo stati ignorati e/o sbeffeggiati. Anche in questo caso, c'est la Vie.
In qualità di unico sopravvissuto dei quattro Fondatori, che ringrazio sopra tutto e tutti, desidero ringraziare anche TUTTI gli Amici e Partner che hanno contribuito a creare questo - per me - "gioiello". Penso a Lorenzo Leone (Anakin) che ha elaborato questa immagine, premiata dalla cifra "Numero 25.000". Penso a Gualtiero La Fratta (Walthari) che, con la Sua competenza e bravura, ci ha fatto "sbirciare" in mondi scientifici nuovi ed affascinanti. Penso a Massimo Staccioli (Ufologo), che ci ha trasportati in dimensioni trascendenti quella che io chiamo "Umana Comprensione". Non dimentico Gianluigi Barca (sempre nel mio Cuore), Ivana Tognoloni (un "Occhio" davvero notevole), Marco Faccin e la Sua Consorte e tanti altri, tutti presenti qui, con i Loro Lavori ed il Loro Impegno.
Ce ne sono tantissimi altri, ma non posso fare un elenco completo. Sono qui. Sono stati qui, per giorni, mesi od anni. Poi, per tanti ordini di motivi, sono "spariti". C'est la Vie. La mia Gratitudine non cessa comunque e la mia Stima rimane inalterata.
Potrei blaterare su chi mi ha deluso e su chi si è comportato in maniera indecente, ma la cosa, in fondo, non mi interessa. Ci hanno letto in milioni. Ci leggono in centinaia di migliaia, da ogni angolo del Mondo (ad oggi, Russia, Stati Uniti, Cina ed Ucraina incluse). Non so dirVi perché, ma è così. Forse abbiamo fatto e stiamo facendo qualcosa di bello e di "speciale". Qualcosa di "indipendente". Non siamo schiavi di ideologie preconfezionate, scientifiche e non, filosofiche, politiche od economiche. Il "mainstream" non ci tocca né ci ha mai toccati.
Indipendenza ed Onestà Intellettuale. E Libertà di dire quel che si pensa. Anche sbagliando, come è accaduto. Sfido chiunque a fare di più e di meglio.
Lunar Explorer Italia, un giorno, finirà. Ma se avessimo fatto qualcosa di importante, io voglio credere che quel "qualcosa" potrà sopravvivere. Oltre Lunar Explorer Italia ed oltre Noi, che l'abbiamo creata e resa, in ogni caso, un punto di riferimento per tanti. E va bene così. Anzi: va BENISSIMO!

A key objective for Perseverance’s mission on Mars is astrobiology, including the search for signs of ancient microbial life. Subsequent NASA missions, in cooperation with ESA (European Space Agency), would send spacecraft to Mars to collect these sealed samples from the Surface and return them to Earth for in-depth analysis.MareKromium
