SOL0646-PIA25675.jpgRainbow in the Dunes - Sol 646142 visiteThe location where NASA’s Perseverance will begin depositing its first cache of samples is shown in this image taken by the Mars rover on Dec. 14, 2022, the 646th Martian day, or sol, of the mission. This enhanced color image was taken by the rover’s MastCam-Z camera and is not representative of the way the scene would look to the human eye.

A key objective for Perseverance’s mission on Mars is astrobiology, including the search for signs of ancient microbial life. The rover will characterize the planet’s geology and past climate, pave the way for human exploration of the Red Planet, and be the first mission to collect and cache Martian rock and regolith (broken rock and dust).

Subsequent NASA missions, in cooperation with ESA (European Space Agency), would send spacecraft to Mars to collect these sealed samples from the Surface and return them to Earth for in-depth analysis.

SOL-0003-PIA2464-Perseverance_Sol3_Mastcam-Z_panorama.pngWhat is that?!?

Bravi entrambi, e Grazie!

Stesso colore e stessa texture. Magari avranno ragione "Loro"...Ma a me, qualche dubbio, resta.
