This image shows a heart-shaped depression about 5 Km long. The image mosaic on the right was taken from 204 Km on March 3, 2000 and reveals that the mysterious heart-shaped feature is actually 3 separate craters. The oblique lighting conditions and low resolution of the earlier image created the illusion of a heart shape".

MULTICOLOR CIRCULAR SHAPE: questa la prima volta che si legge qualcosa del genere e, onestamente, ne prendiamo atto con immensa soddisfazione!
Peccato, tuttavia, che al L&PI nessuno si azzardi a tentare una interpretazione di questa "MULTICOLORED THING" che noi, parecchio tempo fa, battezzammo con il nick-name di "Golden Anomaly"... Comunque va bene: anche questa descrizione buona e, se non altro, sappiamo che l'oggetto NON un image-artifact e NON un riflesso di qualcosa che si trova all'interno dell'Astronave Americana.
E questi due elementi non sono affatto cosa da poco!...MareKromium

PHOE-SOL117-PIA11191.jpg"Headless": just like NASA... - Sol 11752 visiteCaption NASA:"The Robotic Arm on NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander slid a rock out of the way during the mission's 117th Sol (such as Sept. 22, 2008) to gain access to soil that had been underneath the rock.The Lander's Surface Stereo Imager took the two images for this stereo view later the same day, showing the rock, called "Headless", after the arm pushed it about 40 cm (16") from its previous location.
"The rock ended up exactly where we intended it to", said Matt Robinson of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, RA flight software lead for the Phoenix team.
The RA had enlarged the trench near Headless 2 days earlier in preparation for sliding the rock into the trench. The trench was dug to about 3 cm (1,2") deep. The ground surface between the rock's prior position and the lip of the trench had a slope of about 3 downward toward the trench.
Headless is about the size and shape of a VHS videotape".MareKromium

Dr Marco Faccin) - Sol 136054 visiteIn questo dettaglio, sempre realizzato dal Dr Faccin, la diversa colorazione del suolo che mostra una netta "lobate shape" - tipica delle emissioni di gas e vapori, proprio in direzione del presunto sfogo (o "camino") - si mostra a noi con inequivocabile chiarezza.
Come scritto non una, ma centinaia di volte, le immagini "da sole" (quasi sempre) non bastano per "fare Scienza", ma pur vero che eccellenti immagini, una volta analizzate e processate in maniera accurata e professionale, POSSONO diventare un eccellente mezzo di prova. Una prova non decisiva (anzi: mai decisiva, purtroppo), ma pur sempre una prova.
L'ipotesi avanzata dal Dr Faccin, corroborata dall'immagine da lui stesso individuata e processata (e che Vi proponiamo), a nostro avviso, un'Ipotesi ACCETTABILE, RAGIONEVOLE e COERENTE con quanto vediamo qui.
Tutto questo Lavoro, ovviamente, non riesce (per quanto bello ed accurato) da solo a formare una "Prova Piena" ma, di certo, un ECCELLENTE INDIZIO che su Marte, Regione di Gusev Crater, qualcosa "sta ancora accadendo", nel sottosuolo; qualcosa che "produce emissioni" di un qualche tipo (gas? Fumi? Vapori?...chiss...).
Un grandissimo complimento ed un profondo ringraziamento al Dr Faccin, ancora una volta; per il resto...possiamo solo aspettare e continuare a guardare e studiare.MareKromium

The Cassini Radar Image, obtained during a Titan Fly-By occurred on April, 30th, 2006, is centered at about 10 South Latitude and 85 West Longitude.
The Galileo Camera Image, obtained on June 25, 1997, is centered at about 6 South Latitude and 7 West Longitude.
Titan may originally have had a cratered landscape similar to Callisto that has since been eroded by Rainfall and Runoffs. There are many large Circular Features in Titan's Xanadu Region that have some of the characteristics of impact craters - such as Central Peaks and inward-facing Circular Cliffs - which make scientists think they are, in fact, eroded Impact Craters. The Surface of Callisto also has a substantially eroded cratered landscape". MareKromium

ZL-Viking2-Rocks.2jpg.jpgHorizon (4)159 visiteIl "ventifact" - un bellissimo neologismo 'made in NASA' creato per indicare le rocce che acquisiscono fattezze tali da renderle simili a manufatti grazie all'azione del vento - che viene indicato nel frame precedente , a nostro parere, lo stesso 'oggetto' che il Gruppo Italiano "Eredit Cydonia" ha chiamato "The Hat" (e cio il 'cappello'). Provate a verificare Voi stessi: dovete guardare il secondo frame Eredit Cydonia che abbiamo pubblicato nella Sezione "Mars and His Moons".
Per Vostra informazione, questi frames non li abbiamo rintracciati dentro Archivi NASA 'segreti' (come invece raccontano di aver fatto i signori di Eredit Cydonia), bens nel Sito "SP-425 - The Martian Landscape" by the Viking Lander Imaging Team.
Ogni ulteriore commento veramente superfluo.
