Renata Fienga ("Zia Renata") era nata a Salerno nel lontano 1924.
Zia Renata mi ha accompagnato per un lunghissimo tratto del cammino che mi ha portato, non senza difficoltà e delusioni, ad abbracciare la carriera di Ricercatore e Divulgatore nel Campo delle Scienze Astronomiche in generale e Planetarie in particolare.
Grande Appassionata di Musica e Cinema (Fantascienza in particolare), mi ha insegnato ad amare il pianoforte (che lei suonava benissimo) ed a considerare alcuni (drammatici) eventi della Vita (dalla II Guerra Mondiale, alla tragica - e precoce - morte del Padre - Catello - ed alla gravissima malattia che bloccò la Madre - Brigida - a letto, per oltre sette anni), come chiavi di lettura per la comprensione di noi stessi, del nostro ruolo, e delle nostre reali forze e motivazioni.
Zia Renata aveva una incrollabile Fede in Dio.
L'unica mia Preghiera (e Speranza), oggi, è che questa Fede l'abbia realmente portata al cospetto di Colui che lei ha pregato e supplicato per una Vita intera, affinchè vegliasse sui suoi Cari: su mio Padre, su mia Madre, su mia Moglie e su me stesso.
