The view is looking toward the North at "Husband Hill", the dark-toned "El Dorado" dune field and the light-toned "Home Plate" feature. Husband Hill is approximately 850 mt (about 2800 feet) from the Rover's Winter Campaign Site. Wind-blown ripples are evident in the field in the foreground, along with vesicular basalt rock. Tracks made by Spirit as it left Home Plate are also visible. (...)".

Da notare che l'interpretazione di cui al quadro n. 2 (ottenuta da un frame originale Spirit in b/w) assolutamente identica alle (presunte) elaborazioni in colori naturali (o anche "approssimativamente veri") operate dalla NASA impiegando dei softwares talmente avanzati che noi non dovremmo essere neppure capaci di immaginarli.
Conclusione: e se l'Enigma dei "Colori di Marte" non fosse un Enigma?
E se le super-tecnologiche elaborazioni della NASA sui Colori di Marte non fossero altro che "giochi", ossa delle interpretazioni speculative e di fantasia, n pi, n meno affidabili delle nostre?
