Purtroppo non troveremo molte risposte ai nostri interrogativi di partenza, a parte svariate conferme relative al fatto che Endurance e, probabilmente, tutta l'Area di Meridiani, un tempo, erano coperti d'acqua: un'acqua salata non troppo dissimile, in termini di composizione chimica, da quella dei nostri Oceani.

NASA has not yet determined whether Opportunity will venture inside the Crater, which is about 130 mt (about 430 feet) in diameter".
Come ben sappiamo, Opportunity si addentrerà - eccome! - nel Cratere e ci soggiornerà per oltre 6 mesi.
