Per cui cosa dire?
Photoartifacts? No.
Riflessi? Pu essere, ma riflessi di cosa?
Improvvisi "Scintillii" causati da outgassing di un qualche tipo? Diremmo di no: le "fiamme" da outgassing sono diverse.
E allora?
Giudicate Voi!...

Noi aggiungiamo un plauso al Dr Barca ed un "buffetto" ai nostri Amici di Pasadena i quali, ogni giorno di pi, ci fanno capire di essere sempre pi certi del fatto che tutti i Privati (e perci Liberi) Ricercatori, Anomaly Hunters ed Appassionati in genere sano solo una massa informe di idioti.

OPP-SOL855-1F204088764EFF724KP1211R0M1.jpgWrong Place and Wrong Time: a "streak" that should not be there! - Sol 85569 visiteAncora un ottimo colpo d'occhio del Dr Barca ed un nuovo frame che non pu lasciarci indifferenti: nella Cerchiatura Verde, uno "streak" di luce il quale, nei frames Cassini (o nei frames Spirit ed Opportunity notturni), di regola indicativo del transito di un raggio cosmico. Cos almeno ci dice la NASA.
Ma in questa ripresa diurna...Giustificare un simile dettaglio diventa pi difficile ed infatti la NASA non lo commenta.
E neppure noi: ci limitiamo a proporvelo.

The stretched version (see the following frame) is vertically stretched to make horizon details easier to see. The un-stretched version (such as this one) has normal proportions. The image is a mosaic of frames taken during Opportunity's 855th Martian day, or Sol (such as June 20, 2006).
Beagle Crater is 35 meters (about 115 feet) in diameter. The Opportunity science and engineering teams hope to have the Rover visit it on the way to Victoria Crater. Beagle Crater was 310 meters (about 1.107 feet) away from Opportunity when this picture was taken. Even at this distance, blocks of ejecta can be seen around the prominent, raised rim of Beagle crater, suggesting that it may be among the youngest craters visited by Opportunity".

The stretched image makes mild nearby dunes look like more threatening peaks, but that is only a result of the exaggerated vertical dimension. But comparing the azimuth angle of this feature in the Sol 855 panorama and the angle of the same feature in the Sol 804 Panoramic Image, PIA08447 (a process known as triangulation) revealed that this outcrop must instead be on the near rim of the crater.

The North-Eastern rim is beyond the left edge of this panorama.

A Daily Martian Star-Light Object (1) - Sol 85763 visiteLa frequenza di queste "Apparizioni Luminose Puntiformi" (e cio "Star-like Objects" - SlO) ormai quotidiana; le caratteristiche di queste Apparizioni sono ricorrenti, ma la luminosit dei Martian Star-Like Objects cambia, Sol dopo Sol.
A volte essa molto intensa e lo SlO sferiforme; altre volte debole e lo SlO ellittico (operando dei notevoli stretch il profilo di alcuni SlO ci ricorda la sagoma tipica dei "dischi volanti", come visti da Terra).
In ogni caso - ed ora ci sentiamo di dirlo con un elevatissimo grado di certezza - non si tratta mai (o quasi mai) di photoartifacts.
Gli SlO dei frames Apollo ci apparivano - di regola - piuttosto vicini alla superficie e di un colore bianco/azzurro, sempre perfettamente delineati sullo sfondo del cielo lunare, nero come la pece; gli SlO Marziani, invece, sono diurni, dal colore indefinibile (ma diremmo bianco/argenteo) e, per lo pi (ed almeno apparentemente) lontani, molto lontani dalla superficie (e dalla "Zona Operazioni").

Basta questa annotazione per escludere, con un elevato margine di certezza, l'eventualit che la "luce bianca nel cielo diurno" sia solo un photoartifact.
Il Dr Barca ormai diventato uno specialista nell'individuare questi "corpi transienti" nel Cielo di Marte e noi, come sempre, lo ringraziamo di cuore!

In realt, nella Cerchiatura Rossa, la traccia evidente di una cancellazione digitale la quale, nel detail mgnf, emerge in tutta la sua sconcertante ovviet.
Che cosa si intendeva nascondere? Mistero...
p.s.: qualche Lettore ipotizza che le "abrasioni digitali" possano essere, in realt, semplici vizi dell'immagine determinati, ad esempio, da un errore nella trasmissione dei dati da Marte a Terra (oppure nella perdita di qualche dato - e cio di qualche pixel - durante la trasmissione).
Noi diciamo che si, certo, pu essere, ma i vizi di questo tipo - di regola - visualmente si manifestano in maniera diversa (p.e.: la perdita totale di pixel - trasmissione abortita - si esprime in vere e proprie macchie nere, a bordi levigati e forma regolare, mentre l'arrivo di un numero di pixel inferiore al necessario - trasmissione parziale - si risolve in immagini dalla fattura grossolana in cui le uniche forme percepibili sono quelle collegate ad (e determinate da) aree pi illuminate in rapporto ad aree meno illuminate).
