E cioè, spessissimo (come in questo caso), assolutamente nulla. Oppure, allorchè si sa come operare, dove guardare e che cosa cercare, TUTTO.

Saturn~0.jpgSaturn...from France57 visitePresently at opposition in planet Earth's sky, Saturn is well placed for telescopic observations. On Wednesday (Jan., 25, 2006) two Amateur Astronomers took full advantage of the situation from Melun, near Paris, France. With a 12" diameter telescope and web cam they recorded this sharp image of the ringed gas giant and made an exciting discovery: a new storm on Saturn. The storm appears as the white spot visible here in Saturn's Southern Hemisphere (bottom of the picture). In particular, the storm seems to correspond with an outburst of radio noise detected by the Cassini spacecraft. The phenomenon is likely similar to the Dragon Storm recorded by Cassini's instruments early last year. That storm is thought to be analogous to a terrestrial thunderstorm, with radio noise produced in high-voltage lightning discharges.

Its discovery was announced by Scott S. Sheppard, David C. Jewitt and Jan Kleyna on June 26, 2006, from observations taken between January 5 and April 30, 2006.
Sköll is about 6 Km in diameter (assuming an albedo of 0,04), and orbits Saturn at an average distance of 17,6 Gm in 869 days, following a highly eccentric and moderately inclined orbit.
It was named in April 2007 after Sköll, a giant wolf from Norse mythology, son of Fenrisulfr and twin brother of Hati.MareKromium

The image was taken using the CL1 and CL2 filters.
This image has not been validated or calibrated".
Nota: non ci sembra che la fotocamera di Cassini stesse inquadrando il debole Anello "E" di Saturno. Questo frame, a nostro avviso, è il prodotto di uno scatto casuale ed effettuato impiegando parametri errati i quali si sono risolti in una immagine mossa (come le "strisce ondulate" - che riteniamo essere stelle - dimostrano ampiamente) e, di fatto, impossibile da spiegare.
L'inclinazione del notevole streak di luce bianca (Big Streak) visibile ad ore 9 del frame - un'inclinazione incongrua rispetto a quella degli streaks lasciati dalle altre stelle riprse - ci dimostra che questo "Big Streak" non dovrebbe essere dipeso dal fatto di Cassini (che scatta mentre si muove in maniera repentina), bensì dal SUO (autonomo) movimento RISPETTO a Cassini.
Gli altri puntini che costellano l'immagine sono dei photoartifacts (noise).
