E attenzione. Noi NON sappiamo esattamente che cosa sia questo "rumore", ma una cosa è certa: i "suoni" in arrivo dal Sol 42 sono in parte simili a quelli che abbiamo già ascoltato nel Sol 38, ma in parte diversi. C'è "qualcosa" in più, oltre ad un segnale portante continuo, che si può sentire bene intorno al secondo 55.
Che ne pensate?
Un consiglio: ascoltate questa emissione (estratta dal Grandissimo Marco Faccin attraverso la scansione di ben 22 frames Phoenix) "in cuffia"!MareKromium

Barca)55 visiteVi invitiamo a notare come una porzione del suolo situata nelle immediata prossimità dello scavo effettuato dalla paletta di Phoenix si caratterizzi per un colorito leggermente diverso dal resto del paesaggio.
Vizio di processing, o "reazione" dell'ambiente allo scavo?

Faccin)64 visiteIn questo nuovo e spettacolare Lavoro del Dr Faccin abbiamo un frame in Colori Naturali davvero molto bello - e stupendamente definito - il quale è accompagnato da una "Caption" (ottenuta in esadecimale) che, almeno a nostro parere, suona piuttosto "criptica".
Curiosamente, infatti, a noi non sembra che esista correlazione fra quanto si vede nel frame (un outcrop che si troverà ad una decina/quindicina di metri dal Lander) e quanto si legge nella Caption "allegata" al frame, la quale fa riferimento ad un esperimento sulla conduttività - Conductivity Analyzer - di un campione di Suolo Marziano e ad una coppia di frames (un "before" ed un "after") correlati alla raccolta ed alla deposizione (forse sarebbe meglio dire "allocazione") del campione stesso.
Tale acquisizione di un "prima" e di un "dopo", in accordo alla Caption Esadecimale, sarebbe finalizzata ad evidenziare, mediante una comparazione delle immagini, la presenza (nel Campione?) di elementi (features) che POTREBBERO ESSERE DERIVATI DA FONTE NON MARZIANA - questo passaggio è così criptico che non ci sentiamo di commentarlo.
Curiosa la dizione "The sample illumination configuration was Special", la quale ci dice che l'illuminazione del campione con il gruppo luce di cui è dotato Phoenix è stata "Speciale" (non comprendiamo il senso di queste frasi, purtroppo, e quindi non ci sbilanciamo).MareKromium

This image shows the trench informally called "Snow White".
Two samples were delivered to the Wet Chemistry Laboratory, which is part of Phoenix's Microscopy, Electrochemistry, and Conductivity Analyzer (MECA).
The first sample was taken from the surface area just left of the trench and informally named "Rosy Red". It was delivered to the Wet Chemistry Laboratory on Sol 30 (June 25, 2008). The second sample, informally named "Sorceress", was taken from the center of the "Snow White" trench and delivered to the Wet Chemistry Laboratory on Sol 41 (July 6, 2008)". MareKromium

The full-circle panorama in approximately true color shows the polygonal patterning of ground at the landing area, similar to patterns in permafrost areas on Earth. The center of the image is the westward part of the scene. Trenches where Phoenix's robotic arm has been exposing subsurface material are visible in the right half of the image. The spacecraft's meteorology mast, topped by the telltale wind gauge, extends into the sky portion of the panorama.
