Original caption:"This panorama provides the Team's Highest Resolution (HR) view yet of the finely-layered outcrop rocks, wind ripples, and small cobbles and grains along the rim of the wide but shallow Erebus Crater. Once the RA diagnostics and testing are completed, the Team hopes to explore other layered outcrop rocks at Erebus and then eventually continue Southward toward the large Crater known as Victoria".

Nota: ogni commento sulla "colorazione" di questa Regione Marziana ci sembra inutile. E' evidente che, su Marte come sulla Terra, possono esistere paesaggi completamente diversi, ma è la diversità che abbiamo riscontrato (e che chiunque può riscontrare) fra queste vedute ed i primi Panorami della Regione di Meridiani.
Ricordate, infatti, che siamo passati dal rosso acceso al rosso scuro (Lion King Panorama), poi all'arancione (Heat-Shield Area), quindi al marrone-giallastro (Endurance e dintorni) ed ora al verde (ora più scuro ed ora più chiaro) sebbene tutte le vedute - in approx-true-colors - sìano state sempre ottenute con filtri a 750-, 530- e 430 nanometri.
