Here is the Lander! InSight (acronym for "Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport"), is a Mars Lander designed to give the Red Planet its first thorough checkup. It is the first Outer Space Robotic Explorer to study in-depth the "inner space" of Mars: its crust, mantle, and core. The "InSight" Lander uses cutting edge instruments, to delve deep beneath the Surface and seek the fingerprints of the processes that formed the terrestrial planets. It does so by measuring the Planet's "vital signs": its "pulse" (seismology), "temperature" (heat flow), and "reflexes" (such as: precision tracking). No Caro Anakin,

InSight (che vuol dire, acronimo a parte, "in vista di") effettua solo rilievi sismografici (e Marte pare proprio che abbia davvero un'attività sismica, probabilmente non residuale - come noi invece ipotizzammo, anni fa e che su Marte non siamo andati a "verificare" in alcun modo - e quindi NON é geologicamente morto, o almeno, non del tutto....), meteorologici (i.e.: temperatura e pressione - e la pressione al Datum di Elysium é ALTA: sopra i 600 Mb, altro che 6 o 7......) ed orbitali (io penso valutando il Periodo Orbitale di Marte e quindi attraverso la posizione del Pianeta rispetto alla Terra, al Sole ed alle "Stelle Fisse".

Nulla di meno. Ma, ahimé, nulla di più.....

Che Marte fosse geologicamente vivo, lo avevi già intuito e detto circa 2 lustri fa. La NASA, nei comunicati ufficiali, arriva sempre dopo :-D

La Verità é che alla NASA (come in tutte le Istituzioni) nessuno parla perché, esigenze di Sicurezza a parte, hanno tutti paura di sputtanarsi e perdere la poltrona. Io cosa ho da perdere Amici Miei?!? Grazie ed un Abbraccio! - paolo

Ma tu non tiri ad indovinare. Tu studi. Cerchi di comprendere ecapire quello che stai vedendo con il solo ausilio di immagini forse reali. E cerchi di mantenere l'equlibrio nell'analisi. Ti pare poco?

Grazie Anakin. Di Cuore. Comunque é vero: non tiro ad indovinare. E se lo faccio, lo scrivo....

Ma comunque tento sempre di analizzare con calma e tanta razionalità. Poi, si sa, a volte sbaglio: io, come tutti! (tranne gli "anti-complottisti, che sono infallibili per definizione.... (solo nella loro testa, ovviamente......)

Intanto Buon Anno a Tutti... Ma come si fa a non sbagliare cercando di studiare solo attraverso immagini che arrivano da terze parti?
